A new day dawns in Egypt

Last night on Facebook, I posted a message saying that I was proud of the Egyptian people and that they would “win the day”. In less than a day, they have won their independence and driven out the despot, Hosni Mubarek!

Mark my words, my friends. Democracy will now spread like wildfire throughout the Middle East. If this had happened 20 years ago, I would have said that it would happen within a generation (20 years or less). But this is the age of the Internet and an Internet “generation” can be far, far, less than 20 years. It could even conceivably happen within a year or two!

I will make this prediction: By the end of 2012, most of the Middle East will have Democratic forms of government and Iran will, at the very least, succeed in ameliorating their religious dictatorship. But do not think that this will bring peace! 😦 It will bring war. But war that must happen before the dawn of a new age. An age of enlightenment. An age of Peace.

But prepare yourselves! For there will be war, major war, in which the United States will be involved, beginning early in 2013 or late 2012 and it will be precipitated by a terrible event in the United States. An event I cannot mention.

Normally, I would qualify such predictions with conditionals but, in this case, the fall of Hosni Mubarak has set in motion events so irresistible that I don’t foresee a significant possibility that it will change.
